Comprehensive Early Learning Programs

Faith-Based Learning

Our Christian values shine through in every program we offer, ensuring that faith is seamlessly woven into daily learning experiences. Bible storytelling sessions allow children to engage with scripture through colorful illustrations and dramatizations, helping them connect with biblical teachings in a meaningful and memorable way.

Children participate in service projects that emphasize compassion and generosity, such as creating cards for elderly community members or collecting items for local charities. These hands-on activities instill a spirit of giving and reinforce the importance of serving others as Christ did.

Worship time & Daily Devotion brings children together for singing, prayer, and creative faith-based activities. Through craft projects like building a Noah’s Ark diorama, children explore biblical themes while expressing their creativity.

By integrating spiritual growth with everyday learning, our program helps children develop kindness, empathy, and a deep understanding of Christian principles that will guide them throughout their lives.

Nature Exploration and Gardening

Connecting with nature helps children develop respect, wonder, and appreciation for the world God created. Through gardening activities, children plant flowers, fruits, and vegetables, learning responsibility, patience, and the rewards of nurturing life as they watch their crops grow. Nature walks provide opportunities to observe birds, insects, and plants, fostering curiosity and an understanding of how God’s creations work together in the ecosystem.

Sensory exploration deepens their connection to the outdoors, encouraging children to feel different leaves, smell flowers, and listen to the sounds of nature. By blending environmental education with hands-on experiences, this program inspires children to care for the world around them, developing stewardship, curiosity, and a lasting love for God's creation.

Language and Cultural Enrichment

Learning about languages and cultures expands children’s horizons and fosters a love for diversity. Introductory Spanish lessons, for example, might involve singing songs, playing games, and learning simple phrases like greetings and counting. Cultural enrichment could include themed weeks, where children explore the traditions of different countries by dressing up, sampling foods, and creating crafts inspired by global landmarks or customs. Building Practical Life Skills for Everyday Success

In cooking activities, children make simple recipes like fruit salads or sandwiches, learning about nutrition, hygiene, and kitchen safety while developing fine motor skills. Targeting Racism and Bullying

Our "Embrace and Empower" (E&E) program is dedicated to helping students from age 7 to age 17 recognize and address racism and bullying through education, empathy, and active engagement, grounded in the love and teachings of Christ. E&E aims to promote cultural awareness, understanding, unity, and resilience within our community.

Program Components:

Educational Workshops

Understanding Racism and Bullying: Workshops that provide an in-depth understanding of the history, impact, and various forms of racism and bullying, all while reflecting on Christ's teachings about love and justice.

Cultural Awareness & Respect

Sessions focused on learning about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives to promote respect and appreciation for diversity, guided by the principle that we are all created in God's image.

Empathy and Compassion Training:

Activities and discussions aimed at fostering empathy and compassion, inspired by Christ's example of love and acceptance.

Discussion Groups

Open Dialogue Sessions:

Safe spaces for students to share their experiences, listen to others, and engage in meaningful conversations about racism, bullying, and diversity, all while seeking to embody the love and understanding taught by Christ.

Storytelling Circles:

Encouraging participants to share personal stories that highlight the importance of understanding and empathy in addressing racism and bullying, drawing parallels to the parables of Jesus.

Conflict Resolution and Peer Support:

Structured activities that teach students conflict resolution skills and how to support their peers in standing against racism and bullying.

Program Target Age Groups:

Elementary School

(Second Grade to Fifth Grade):

Younger children are at a formative stage where they can learn the basics of empathy, kindness, and respect. Early intervention helps prevent bullying behaviors and fosters inclusive attitudes from a young age.

Middle School

(Sixth Grade to Eighth Grade):

Middle school students are developing critical thinking skills and a stronger sense of self. This is a crucial time to address issues of racism and bullying, as peer influence becomes more significant. Providing tools for conflict resolution and cultural awareness can greatly impact their social interactions.

High School

(Ninth Grade to Age 17):

High school students are preparing for adulthood and are more capable of understanding complex social issues. They can take on leadership roles within the program, serving as mentors and advocates. Addressing racism and bullying at this stage equips them with the skills and knowledge to carry these values into their future endeavors.

Kimmy D's Christian Academy offers a lot of activities. We learn about different projects, different activities, so a lot about Christ. The main reason why I like KDCA is because of Mrs. Kimmy. She has taught me many things in my life like how to write perfectly, how to use my manners and how to pray. She is the most important person in my life. She has taught me so much. She treats me like her very own. I don't know where I would be without Mrs. Kimmy. She has been truly a blessing to me. She goes beyond to get me where I am today. She makes me feel at home.

I am truly blessed to see how Hods hand continues to move in this school. I have the pleasure of seeing some of these children on Sunday morning at church. And this past Sunday these babies did amazing in their songs they have learned. Mrs. Kimmy is truly doing a fantastic job with these babies. May God continue to have his hand on this school. KDCA is a fun learning educational facility. I have learned so much especially this summer. I am well prepared for the school year. I feel at peace when I am at KDCA. I don't have to worry about being bullied here because everyone shows love especially Mrs. Kimmy. Most of all, I learn a lot about God's words including scriptures and prayers. KDCA is so peaceful. I have met so many wonderful people here.

I have learned a lot at KDCA. I like attending KDCA because learning is fun even for 7th graders. We learn about Christianity which is very important to me. Mrs. Kimmy cares about us as if we were her own kids.
